07/06 Ryan’s “Classic Summer” Monday Morning Forecast

Just a classic South Mississippi summer day ahead with plenty of heat and humidity and a few afternoon showers.

Today will be a typical, classic summer day in South Mississippi. There’s nothing special weather-wise to discuss, with the only notable change from the last few days being a slight increase in our afternoon shower chances. That’s due to a weak approaching front, which won’t truly creep into the area until tomorrow afternoon, further increasing our rain chances for Tuesday. In the meantime, temperatures remain constant in the low 90s during the day, and mid-to-upper 70s through the night with high humidity. That’ll lead to heat indices in the 102-105° range, right up against Heat Advisory limits. Please continue to practice heat safety despite the lack of official warnings though, because even short-term exposure can still be dangerous. Seek shade and stay hydrated!
