MSAG office determines use of force was justified in Lucedale deputy-involved shooting
LUCEDALE, Miss. (WXXV)-The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office has completed a review of a deputy-involved shooting in Lucedale in November 2025.
That shooting happened after a standoff between a man and the Jackson County SWAT team that was called into assist George County law enforcement.
The MBI and Attorney General’s review of the case determined there was no wrongdoing on behalf of law enforcement at that scene and that the use of force was justified.
Nicholas Parker died after barricading himself inside his home and later shot at deputies, which led to them returning fire.
