Biloxi police arrest man accused of attempting to entice child for sexual purposes

BILOXI, Miss (WXXV) – A Biloxi man is behind bars following an investigation into the alleged enticement of a child for sexual purposes. Police say 47-year-old Zawon Timothy Moore was arrested Thursday, June 25.

Investigators say the case began earlier this month, on June 10, after Moore allegedly requested sexual favors from a minor in exchange for rewards.

Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain  issued a total bond amount of $250,000 on Moore for the charge of Enticement of a Child to Meet for Sexual Purposes.  He has since been transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing and believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information related to the case or other potential incidents involving Moore is asked to contact the Biloxi Police Department or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers.

Police remind the public that anyone accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
