MDOT: Portions of State Route 26 in George County remain closed due to flooding

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-The Mississippi Department of Transportation says portions of State Route 26 in George County remains closed due to ongoing flooding impacts.

State Route 26 is closed in both directions between Fairley O’Neal Road/Vardaman Graves Road and Ely Cooper Road. The closure has been in place since June 18 and will remain until repairs are complete.

MDOT urges motorists to use alternate routes and stay updated through its traffic app and website for the latest travel conditions.
