Ms. Audrey at Café Climb Opens

One Gulfport business owner is doing her part to help usher in the next generation of leaders in the culinary arts.
This morning, Audrey Duncan cut the ribbon on Ms. Audrey at Café Climb. Duncan is the owner and head chef of the well-known Gulfport restaurant Ms. Audrey’s Southern Kitchen and Catering.
Ms. Audrey at Café Climb will feature a salad bar, soup bar, a pasta station and a baked potato bar, all ran by Climb CDC students. She’s decided to expand her business to help students navigate and train within the field of culinary arts.
Ms. Audrey hopes these students will be able to foster a passion for cooking that’s lead to her over 25 years of experience. “They are just wanting to do better for themselves. It’s so, so humbling for me to be a part of their lives because now I’m part of their lives. They’re not just working for me. I want to mold them. I want to instill in them that they can do just what I’m doing. All they have to do is just suit up, show up and coming willing.”
Ms. Audrey tells News 25 once the students finish their time at the café they will be considered for employment at her actual restaurant.
