Dam sustains structural damage due to heavy rainfall in Swan Lake area in North Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A dam in the Swan Lake area in North Harrison County has sustained structural damage, according to the Harrison County Board of Supervisors.

The board says the damage is a result of extreme amounts of rain in the area on Thursday. The Harrison County Road Department has crews on scene and state agencies have offered assistance.

At this time, Harrison County leaders are asking residents in the area to shelter in place and no evacuation has been issued.
