Ryan’s “Humid Wednesday” Forecast

Mark down another humid Wednesday night in the books for South Mississippi, but keep in mind that changes are on the horizon. Tomorrow (Thursday) will be very similar to today, with moderate cloud cover, hot and humid conditions, and a small chance of afternoon thunderstorms, but it looks like we’ll have to wait for the weekend for something more organized. A slow moving frontal system will crawl through the area from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning increasing cloud cover and rain chances through the area. These storms are not expected to be severe, but that’s something that can change quickly here in South MS so we’ll keep an eye on the skies for you. Today was the official start to the hurricane season (we’ve already had two tropical storms and a hurricane so far though), and a new area of interest has popped up in the Southeastern Gulf which will bear watching over the next 6 or so days. After the weekend storms, we’ll see clearer conditions and warmer days, with temperatures returning to the 90s by next Wednesday.
