City of Pass Christian offering floodproofing workshop

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Pass Christian is offering a workshop this month to help during hurricane season.

On June 20, the city’s municipal court will transform into a workshop in floodproofing your home.

Those who attend will learn tips on small-scale floodproofing as well as how to fill and place sandbags.

You’ll also learn to elevate appliances and utilities properly.

Also on the agenda are ways to install flood barriers to protect your home.

City officials will be on hand to provide these tips and preparedness materials will also be available.

This workshop runs from 10 to noon.
