06/16 Ryan’s “More Flooding” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Expect more flooding today as showers and thunderstorms continue across the area.

Flooding issues will continue for the next few days across South Mississippi as heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue today and for the rest of the week. We additionally have a low-end risk of severe weather for today, and have already seen a few Tornado Warned storms develop over Pearl River county through the mid-morning. I don’t believe we’ll see many more over-achievers like that, but the heavy rainfall is a given, with localized areas of flash flooding likely. As the rain continues in the days ahead, with rainfall to the north as well, expect river flooding to become more of an issue as we head through the middle towards the end of the week.
