Pass Christian man arrested, charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-A Pass Christian man has been arrested in connection to a hit and run in Gulfport.

Forty-nine-year-old Minh Hoang Truong was arrested and charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

On June 11, Gulfport police officers responded to a hit and run on Georgia Avenue. Once on scene, officers found a victim suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

During the investigation, Truong was identified as the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim. Detectives determined that Truong fled the scene without stopping to render aid or provide assistance.

Truong was arrested, processed, and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
