Another warm night with increasing humidity
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead
Tonight will remain clear and warm, with temperatures falling into the mid 70s. Sunshine dominates again on Thursday and Friday, with afternoon highs climbing from the upper 80s to around 90 degrees along the coast, and mid 90s inland. Overnight lows continue to stay muggy, settling in the mid to upper 70s each night.
While most locations will stay dry through Saturday, a few isolated showers and thunderstorms may begin popping up by the afternoon as moisture gradually increases. The real issue will be the heat this weekend.
Rain chances still remain low from Saturday to Sunday, but continue increasing into early next week.
Better chances for showers and thunderstorms return Monday as a more unsettled weather pattern develops across the area. Rain and thunderstorms will become more common, helping to hold daytime temperatures in the mid to upper 80s, but also giving us the potential to see another widespread 1-3″ of rainfall with isolated higher amounts.
