06/02 Ryan’s “Still Summery” Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

Another summery day expected out there, but we'll see some slight relief in the days ahead.

The summery weather pattern continues again today as high heat and humidity will lead to triple-digit heat indices this afternoon. We’ll also see another round of afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms, a little more than yesterday’s, but less than what we saw any day last week. The increase in rain chances is due to a front sliding through the area as it stalls, adding just enough lift to get that shower chance back up to around 40% for the afternoon and evening. We can’t rule out a thunderstorm, but severe weather is not expected. Rain chances will fall to 20% or less for the rest of the week thanks to the drier air on the northside of the front. It will still be hot and humid, just not quite AS hot and humid.
