Atlantic Hurricane Season begins June 1

The 2026 Atlantic Hurricane season begins today.

According to NOAA’s outlook, they’re predicting eight to 14 named storms, three to six hurricanes, and one to three major hurricanes.

This prediction is below-normal compared to recent years due to a variety of factors, including the development of El Nino as the season progress.
