Two arrested, charged in connection with Memorial Day shooting in Pearl River County

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Two people have been arrested in connection to a shooting on Memorial Day in Pearl River County.

Twenty-six-year-old Raheem Charles and 23-year-old Thomas Daniel have been arrested in that incident after investigators recovered evidence and witness statements.

On Memorial Day, officers responded to a shooting near Lilac Drive and Clover Drive in Picayune.

Witnesses say an altercation broke out which led to shots being fired. Two victims were found with nonlife threatening injuries.

Charles is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into a dwelling, and shooting into a vehicle.

Daniel is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation remains active at this time.
