Long Beach School District remembers Thomas Hanes

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The Long Beach School District is mourning the loss of one of their own.

Thomas Hanes was the P.E. teacher at Quarles Elementary School and the cross-country coach.

The school district says his energy, humor, and encouragement made a lasting impact on students and faculty alike.

School officials say while the loss felt is immeasurable, so is the legacy of kindness and dedication Hanes leaves behind.
