Victims identified in deadly crash with Military bus

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a multi-vehicle crash involving a military vehicle that left two people dead and several injured.

According to our media partner, the Sun Herald, the crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Canal Road near Interstate 10.

At least one of the vehicles involved was one of several military buses returning from a training exercise.

Some of the occupants were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

A portion of Canal Road was temporarily shut down while authorities investigated the scene.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victims of the crash as 45-year-old Thomas Hanes and 48-year-old David Luckett, both of D’Iberville. Both victims were non-military and were driving their own vehicles at the time of the accident.
