05/28 Ryan’s “More Rain, Flooding” Thursday Morning Forecast

More rain and more flooding issues ahead as rain chances begin to ramp back up after a mid-week break.

Expect to find more flooding issues as showers and thunderstorms begin developing again today after a slightly drier Wednesday now behind us. Even then though we still had at least one South MS city see over an inch an a half, but most of the area only saw light showers/sprinkles. Today we started off quiet, but clusters of showers and thunderstorms developed shortly after sunrise and have already brought about a few Flash Flood Warnings as the rainfall is quite heavy. Watch for and avoid these flooded areas, particularly along the Pearl and Wolf river as they’re still over flood stage.

For today, expect another humid, grey afternoon with highs in the mid 80s, and more active weather than we saw yesterday. It’ll slack off through the night but come back more strongly over the weekend ahead of everything finally clearing up.
