05/22 Ryan’s “Still Stormy” Friday Morning Forecast

We've reached the end of the week as the stormy weather continues.

Stormy weather continues today as we finish off the week and head into the Memorial Day weekend. That’s unfortunate, with this being a holiday/travel weekend, creating wet roads and dangerous conditions from time to time as a few thunderstorms could be on the heavier side. We saw a few of those yesterday, including a short-lived tornado warning, with a very low chance of severe weather today for part of the area. Right now it only covers George County along with parts of Jackson and Stone, continuing north into the Pine Belt. Outside of flooding issues, don’t expect too much but at least some potential for windy weather is there. This weather pattern will last through the weekend and into next week.

For today, expect a slightly cooler, but still quite humid high near 83 with southerly winds near 10 mph. Scattered showers and storms will be a little more noticeable than yesterday, with rain carrying into the night and the weekend as well.
