Students explore opportunities at North Woolmarket Middle School Career Fair
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Career possibilities took over the hallways at North Woolmarket Middle School as students explored what their futures could hold.
The campus was transformed into a full day of discovery, giving students a firsthand look at what life beyond the classroom could look like.
Seventh and eighth graders spent the day exploring career paths through interactive exhibits and conversations with professionals at North Woolmarket Middle School. Principal Roman Holmes said, “The kids enjoy it. It gives them a break. We’re at the end of the school year and it kind of lets them have some fun time, down time. It also let’s them kick ideas off each other. I think we underestimate young children and how deep their thoughts are when it comes to their career choices.”
From healthcare to finance to public safety, fifteen vendors filled the campus to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation. Student Kennedy Niceley said, “I think it’s important because you can learn about the different jobs and test them to be aware of the different options you have.”
Through questions, conversations, and real-world experiences, students walked away with a better understanding of the many opportunities that could one day shape their futures.
