Gulfport Police arrest 40-year-old man on child enticement charge after online investigation

Gulfport, Miss. (WXXV)- An online investigation leads to the arrest of a 40-year-old man in Gulfport.

Ian Vohn Pehnke was arrested and charged with enticement of a child to produce a visual depiction of sexual conduction.

On October 8, as part of a multi-agency operation investigation, investigators utilized a private messaging and dating app to engage in an online conversation with a person claiming to be a 14-year-old girl in Mississippi.

Throughout the investigation, Pehnke continued communicating with the minor and discussed the possibility of participating in a photo shoot, including questions regarding clothing and personal appearance.

Investigators discovered Pehnke repeatedly requested photos of the minor and encouraged her to send images with no clothing.

Pehnke was processed at the Gulfport Police Department and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
