Wrestling Coming to Biloxi Public Schools, Tyler Miller Named First Head Coach

BILOXI, Miss. – The Biloxi Public School District is expanding its athletic offerings in a big way, officially announcing that wrestling will be added as a varsity sport beginning in the 2026–27 school year.

The move marks the first time wrestling will be offered across the district, creating new opportunities for student-athletes to compete and grow.

To lead the program, the district has named Tyler Miller as its first-ever head wrestling coach.

Miller brings a unique blend of leadership and coaching experience to the Gulf Coast. After serving six years on active duty in the United States Air Force, he went on to earn his degree from Mississippi State University. From there, he transitioned into education and coaching, where he quickly made an impact.

Most recently, Miller helped build a successful wrestling program at Center Hill High School. Under his leadership, Center Hill produced two state champions, five state runners-up, and more than 20 additional state placers.

Now, Miller takes on a new challenge in Biloxi building a program from scratch once again.
