Charged with aggravated assault in Moss Point

A man is now in custody in connection with a weekend shooting in Moss Point.
Twenty-five year-old Laterrance McCarty was arrested without incident by U.S. Marshals at his home on Frederick Street around 9:30 this morning.
Moss Point Police Chief Calvin Hutchins says an anonymous tip led to the arrest. McCarty is charged with aggravated assault. He is being transported to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center awaiting an initial appearance.
The victim of Saturday’s shooting did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
