Four arrested, three victims rescued in Biloxi in nationwide human trafficking operation
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)-A nation-wide human trafficking crackdown leads to multiple arrests and rescued victims in Biloxi.
Three victims were recovered and four suspected traffickers were taken into custody in Biloxi as a result of Mississippi’s participation in Operation Coast to Coast.
The identities of those arrested have not yet been released.
These arrests were made in partnership between Biloxi Police, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Gaming Commission, and federal agencies like the FBI.
The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence is now providing services to the three victims.
Reacting to the news of the arrests, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch says her office is committed to continuing to work with local, state, and federal partners in stopping the spread of human trafficking in South Mississippi and the entire state.
