Southaven man arrested on child grooming charge in Jackson County investigation

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-A Southaven man has been arrested on a warrant on the charge of grooming a child after an investigation in Jackson County.
Authorities say 38-year-old Justin Giles was taken into custody last week by the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department at the request of investigators in Jackson County.
The case began after a report was made in March 2026. Investigators say the inquiry led them to identify Giles, who allegedly used social media to build a relationship with a child in Vancleave.
Giles was transported to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center on April 24, 2026.
He has since made an initial court appearance. Judge Mark Watts set Giles’ bond at $250,000 and also revoked a prior bond related to a grand larceny case in DeSoto County.
