Two arrested on drug charges after police search home in Picayune

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)- The Picayune Police Department is sharing an arrest that happened on Friday.

Around 1:30 that afternoon, officers responded to a domestic dispute call.

When they arrived, Courtney Wilford tried to run, but was quickly captured.

Officers could smell marijuana from inside the home; a search warrant was executed. Over a pound of marijuana, a trafficking amount of fentanyl, along with materials used for distribution were found.

Alexis Wise and Courtney Wilford were both arrested and charged with trafficking of a controlled substance as well as possession with intent to distribute.
