Woman arrested on sexual battery of a child charge in Ocean Springs

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- A woman is behind bars in Ocean Springs on child sex crime charges.

Twenty-year-old Alexis George was arrested and charged with sexual battery of a child.

This arrest stems from an ongoing investigation where a 15-year-old disclosed she was sexually assaulted by George in March.

Due to the age of the victim, no other information will be released at this time.

George is being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
