Rape suspect captured by George County Sheriff’s Office

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Over the weekend, George County Sheriff’s deputies captured a rape suspect out of Moss Point who has been on the run since last Thursday.

Deputies say 26-year-old Antron Graham of Moss Point was arrested Saturday after being spotted in the parking lot of the Lucedale Walmart.

Investigators had been tracking a stolen vehicle linked to Graham, who had evaded US marshals last week while they were trying to serve a rape warrant.

When deputies located his car at Walmart, they quickly set up a perimeter.

Graham then ran from deputies, but was taken into custody a short time later without incident.

He has been booked into the George County Regional Correctional Facility as he awaits extradition back to Moss Point.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies, Lucedale police. U.S. marshals, and Mississippi Highway Patrol all helped take Graham into custody.
