Students put skills to the test at 2026 Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- Students from across South Mississippi put their science skills to the test Friday at the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus.
Students in grades first through 12 from Mississippi regions 1 and 6 competed for a chance to advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair, which will be held in Phoenix in May.
Students also competed for first through sixth place awards in different categories, along with special honors from organizations including Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NASA, and the University of Southern Mississippi Center for STEM Education.
