D’Iberville couple convicted on drug charges

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- A D’Iberville couple has been convicted of drug possession and trafficking charges by a Harrison County jury.

Forty-three-year-old Jayson Wathern was found guilty on the possession of a controlled substance charge and 45-year-old Ashleigh Wathern was found guilty of a trafficking a controlled substance.

The case date backs to July 2022, when Harrison County Narcotics Officers purchased meth from the Wathern’s home.

A subsequent search warrant of the home revealed large quantities of meth in several rooms, as well as a whiteboard detailing their plans to sell meth.

The 83 grams of meth recovered at the home equaled 417 individual doses of meth.

Sentencing for the couple is set for May 2026.
