Upgrades coming to Biloxi VA Medical Center
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Veterans along the Mississippi Gulf Coast may soon see improvements when visiting their local VA facilities.
The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System has announced a series of infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving safety, reliability, and patient care for those who served.
Many of those improvements will take place at the VA campus in Biloxi.
The projects are funded through the Veterans Health Administration Non-Recurring Maintenance Program, which is investing a record $4.8 billion nationwide in fiscal year 2026 to repair and improve VA healthcare facilities.
Plans include creating a new emergency operations center to strengthen disaster readiness and repairing sidewalks and roadways to improve ADA access, parking areas, and pedestrian safety.
Other projects include roof and window repairs, security upgrades, and improvements to utilities throughout the campus.
