IMMS opens applications for stranding internship

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies is looking for interns this summer.

Currently, their stranding department is accepting applications.

The program allows students to gain hands-on stranding experience.

They’ll be involved with all aspects of marine mammal and sea turtle rehabilitation.  They’ll also be involved in stranding response.

Interns have the chance to take part in sea turtle nesting surveys. Deadline to apply is March 15.
