2/23 – Another cold night with a warm-up on the way
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast
We’re in for another cold one tonight! Skies stay clear, and widespread frost develops toward daybreak as lows drop to around 30 degrees at the coast, and mid to upper 20s inland. Sunshine continues on Tuesday with temperatures in the upper 50s across the area, and it won’t be nearly as cold overnight with temperatures holding in the low 50s under partly cloudy skies.
Wednesday is when we really warm things up, though. Temperatures climb into the low 70s with a mix of clouds and sunshine, and you’ll likely notice more of a southerly breeze picking up. Clouds increase Wednesday night, with a small chance of a late-night shower.
Thursday afternoon could be a bit unsettled, with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible, especially later in the day. We’ll stay warm in the mid 70s before cooler, drier air filters in late Thursday night. A few showers could linger early Friday, but we dry out heading into a warm, mainly sunny weekend. Highs stay in the mid 70s through Saturday, and while a stray shower can’t be ruled out Sunday, most of the weekend looks great!
