Harrison County Fire Rescue battle large debris pile fire
Harrison County, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County Fire Rescue Team spent several hours fighting a large debris pile fire.
The Combat Readiness Training Center helping with the efforts.
Harrison County sharing the debris pile was about 2 1/2 stories tall, putting out a dangerous amount of embers into the air. Homes in the area were endangered as well due to the embers.
Firefighters were able to control the fire and get it down to a manageable size.
The Fire Rescue team wants to remind all that when burning, keep piles to a manageable size.
No building materials or tires should be in the pile. Never leave large piles unattended without the ability to control the fire.
