2/9 – Patchy, dense fog possible Tuesday morning

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

Clouds increase overnight with areas of fog becoming more likely after 4 a.m. through mid-morning Tuesday. Aside from the reduced visibility early, the next few days stay mild and fairly quiet. Highs climb to around 70 Tuesday, then into the lower 70s Wednesday and Friday. A stray shower can’t be ruled out on Wednesday and again on Friday afternoon, but rain coverage remains limited through the workweek.

Rain chances increase heading into the weekend, though. Showers become more scattered Saturday afternoon, with the potential for a few thunderstorms by the evening, and overnight. Periods of rain and storms may continue Saturday night before gradually tapering Sunday, when skies begin to clear and temperatures settle back into the upper 60s. Southeast winds will strengthen, gusting up to 25 mph at times, then switch to the west-northwest behind a cold front.
