MDOT releases parade safety tips

With carnival really ramping up in our area, with a little more than two weeks to go to Fat Tuesday, MDOT is releasing some safety reminders on how to stay safe along parade routes.

The key things to keep in mind: watch out for pedestrians along parade routes before and after parades, don’t drink and drive after a parade, be mindful of barricades, and road closures, plus avoid distractions while driving near parade routes.
