Gulfport Police Deputy Chief Heather Dailey retires

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-Gulfport police’s deputy chief is retiring from the force after nearly three decades in law enforcement.

Heather Daily has been with GPD since 1998, serving in a wide variety of roles, including undercover narcotics officer, criminal investigations division officer, as well as her most recent role as deputy chief, the first female deputy chief in the department’s history.

Gulfport Police leaders say Deputy Chief Dailey’s legacy will continue to leave an impact on the officers she mentored during her time on the force.
