01/26 Ryan’s “Coldest Yet” Monday Morning Forecast
The spring-like weather we saw at the end of last week is gone as the coldest weather yet this winter moves in.
Last week started frosty, but ended more on the spring-like side as a front moved through bringing some of our coldest weather yet this winter. Lows fell into the low-to-mid 20s across South MS, but it was the wind that really chilled things out, bringing wind chills as low as 12° to our inland counties and cities. We’ll be even colder tomorrow morning, but the wind will back off considerably, leading to similar wind chills to today, but with colder air temps. This afternoon will warm up under completely sunny skies for the rest of the day, but only into the low 42 degree range with wind chills still making it feel only slightly above freezing. We’ll warm very slowly in the days ahead, eventually climbing into the low 50s/mid 30s for hour highs and lows ahead of Friday front that’ll bring us right back here where we started.
