01/23 Ryan’s “Grey and Foggy” Friday Morning Forecast
Not quite as damp as yesterday, but definitely grey and foggy across South Mississippi this morning.
The rain may have stopped for the moment, but grey and foggy weather replaced the warmer and wetter start we saw yesterday. We saw plenty of hit-or-miss light showers yesterday morning, leading to a slightly cooler morning today with a low near 55°. That’s still about 15° warmer than normal, but we’ll cool down a little bit more into the low 50s for tomorrow morning. After that, it’s a sharp warm up as a cold front approaches, bringing more consistent, but still spotty rain Saturday afternoon/evening. The rain will pick up a bit Sunday morning as the front passes, leading to seeing our warmest weather Sunday around sunrise ahead of a breezy, rapidly cooling evening. Expect that to lead to some of the coldest weather we’ve seen so far this winter Monday and Tuesday of next week.
I’ll be making a separate post regarding the low potential for nearby winter weather, explaining where trouble spots may pop up for the Magnolia State.
