Memorial Health System launches new nursing residency

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Memorial Health System is launching a new nurse residency program, aimed at helping new nursing graduates transition into professional practice.

The inaugural class has already been selected and they begin their residencies this month.

It’s a 12-month program with clinical training, biweekly check-ins with educators, and key hospital rotations.

Health system leaders say the program is designed so that nursing graduates from our region receive a solid foundation and mentorship structure as they begin their careers.
