01/16 Ryan’s “Frosty Start, Warm Afternoon” Friday Morning Forecast

We started off today even colder than yesterday, but we'll warm sharply this afternoon ahead of our next front.

This week has been a bit up and down as we cooled sharply after a warmer Wednesday, just to warm up all over again later today. That doesn’t mean it was warm this morning though. In fact, we were the coldest we’ve been all week as lows fell into the upper 20s and low 30s across the area. That made things quite frosty this morning, but those issues are already clearing up quickly as it warms and the sun climbs. We’ll see quite a bit of sun today along with light southerly winds, allowing us to warm to near 64 degrees later this afternoon. That’s a huge jump on yesterday, with a much warmer Saturday morning in the low 40s ahead!

Our low chance of snow early Sunday morning is still holding on, but has dried out significantly. It still doesn’t look like it’ll stick or accumulate, but not impossible we see some novelty flurries or a wintry mix just after midnight Sunday morning for a few hours.
