STARS Day at Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- On Friday, the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center opened its doors to local influencers for STARS Day, a hands-on look at the Air National Guard missions.
STARS Day gave guests a special opportunity to experience certain careers in the Air National Guard. From live demonstrations to career conversations, this event was designed to educate and inspire.
The Special Training and Recruitment Showcase, also known as STARS Day, is a part of an ongoing effort to connect the Air National Guard with the community.
Attendees got a behind the scenes look at the work of the 209th Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron and the 255th Air Control Squadron through live demos and static displays.
Officials say events like this help highlight career opportunities while showing how these specialized units support national security and domestic operations.
