Memorial Hospital continues pop-up vaccine events
The team at Memorial Hospital continues to host pop-up COVID vaccination sites as the number of infected are at an all-time high.
The most recent pop-up event the team hosted was today at the Orange Grove Medical Specialty Clinic in Gulfport.
The team says they are hosting these events to help give convenient access to the recipients.
With the number of COVID patients at an all-time high, the hospital continues to remind people that the vaccine is not only safe, but also helpful in fighting the virus. Memorial Hospital Population Health Manager Rachel Walker said, “As everyone has heard, the delta variant is very contagious, and what we have seen, that most people that are in our ICUs that are dying from this are unvaccinated. So, vaccine right now has proven to be helpful in preventing the death and serious illness of COVID.”
The next public pop-up event will take place Saturday, August 14th at Keesler Federal Credit Union in Gulfport from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
