Crews continue to monitor marsh fires in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County Fire Protection crews continue to monitor the areas of a series of marsh fires in the Escatawpa area.

That’s happening in the Haulover Bayou area specifically.

There are no homes or other structures that have been threatened by these fires and crews are letting them burn out on their own.

You may see some lingering smoke in the area if you drive over the I-10 bridge between the Gautier and Moss Point exits.
