12/29 Ryan’s “Finally Cooling” Monday Morning Forecast

IT's been quite warm for the Christmas season so far, but we're finally cooling down this week!

Our rather balmy weather for the week of Christmas was a boon for fans of warmer weather, but now those who prefer cold weather can rejoice as things are finally cooling down! Lows fell into the low 50s on the coastline, with at least a few upper 40s popping up further inland. The most notable changes this morning were the short-lived light rain and the increased wind thanks to the frontal passage. Winds are now out of the north at a brisk 15-20 mph, bringing in cooler, drier air and making it feel even colder than it is. That’ll have us down to freezing as early as tonight, and into the 20s Wednesday morning as we hit our coldest temperatures we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks. Highs will linger in the low 50s for a few days, but will work their way back into the 70s by Saturday.
