Arrest made in Gulfport cutting incident

GULFPORT, Miss (WXXV)- A 28-year-old man was arrested in Gulfport on Christmas Eve and charged with one count of aggravated assault.

According to the Gulfport Police Department, officers were called to the 3600 block of Amtico Street in reference to a cutting around 12 PM. Officers found a man inside a vehicle with multiple stab wounds to the head and neck. He was taken to the hospital and Ricky Lewis Jr. was arrested.

Lewis is being held on a $500,000 bond at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. According to police, Lewis was on probation for possession of a weapon after a felony conviction.
