12/22 Ryan’s “Warm, Damp Start” Monday Morning Forecast

We're off to a warm, damp start to the week of Christmas with no cooler weather in sight!

Christmas is later this week and instead of cooling nicely we’re off to a damp start and warming for most of the week. This morning saw lows in the mid 60s with a few stubborn showers lingering overhead, and areas of fog. Dense Fog advisories were issued for our coastal counties as well as Pearl River County, but only one or two areas measured visibility down to a quarter mile or below that I saw. It was certainly grey and misty though. This afternoon will remain grey, but see skies start to open up around sunset. That’ll lead to a cooler night ahead, but we’ll see warmer afternoons each day for the rest of the week. That’s going to lead to Christmas day in the 70s with a little sun, upsetting all the local cold weather fans.
