12/19 Ryan’s “Coolest of the Week Ahead” Friday Morning Forecast

Today will be the coolest of the week ahead after a slow warm-up this week, leading to a warm Christmas.

Things warmed up noticeably recently, but today will be the coolest of the week ahead as we cool down today, but warm up slowly as we head towards Christmas. That means while it we won’t see a winter wonderland in South Mississippi for the holidays, it does look like it’ll be relatively sunny and pleasant outside!

For today though we began in the upper 40s and low 50s across the area with light northerly winds, and will head into a warmer, sunny afternoon with highs in the low 60s on the coastline. The coldest we’ll be over the next week will come tomorrow morning, as we fall into the lower 40s but start warming rapidly from there. That’ll take us into another warmer and more humid weekend ahead with increasing cloud cover into Sunday as another front arrives. This front will break down, but leave enough moisture to keep cloud cover in place through the start of next week.
