Operation Robocall Roundup phase two begins
Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office is launching phase two of a multi-state operation designed at limiting the amount of robocalls Mississippians receive.
Specifically, the Operation Robocall Roundup task force has directed inteliquent, bandwidth, lumen, and peerless to stop transmitting suspected illegal robocalls across their networks.
During phase one, AG Fitch sent warning letters to 37 smaller voice providers that were allowing suspected illegal robocalls onto the U.S. Telephone Network. As a result of that letter, the FCC removed 13 of the companies from its Robocall Mitigation Database.
