Cold Weather shelters opening in South Mississippi

In anticipation of cold weather in our area, cold weather shelters are opening in South Mississippi.

In Hancock County, the Poplarville Community Saferoom will open at 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Pets are not allowed. Please bring anything you may need such as food, water, etc.

One shelter will open in Harrison County tonight. The Kenny Fournier Multipurpose Center in D’Iberville will open at 4:30 p.m. Transportation assistance is available; call Coast Transit Authority at (228) 896-8080 or check their website here for route information.
