12/01 Ryan’s “Cool & Cloudy” Monday Morning Forecast

It was a bit chilly this morning but will be much more so for the next few, but we're in a for a cool & cloudy afternoon as rain moves in.

We saw a few sprinkles with yesterday’s front and a slight cool-down into the chilly 40s this morning, but we’re in for a nice afternoon with a cool & cloudy start. Grey skies will be with us from first light through the night, with rain starting to show up early in the afternoon. A frontal system is approaching from the southwest out of the northern Gulf, bringing showers and thunderstorms for the back end of the day. Basically, from about 2 PM – 2 AM I expect we’ll see our most consistent rainfall, averaging more than a half an inch across the area. There is no official threat of severe weather, but thunderstorms are certainly possible through the night. We’ll see the rain dry up rather quickly in Tuesday’s early morning hours, and the clouds won’t be far behind as the sun comes out for the middle of the week.

Expect another freeze to come along with that sunshine though, as Wednesday morning’s high will fall to freezing or below rather quickly.
